On a positive note during Covid...when the pandemic first started, my immediate reaction was what can I do to be of service to give back to my community while documenting this historic time? Well, I got very, very busy photographing my neighbors, friends and black owned businesses which evolved into my project, Portraits in the Era of Covid with the entire proceeds going to Feeding South Florida. My husband Bruce began working from home, my fourteen year old son Jaden is home with online school and the dogs were home from doggie day care, so it wouldn't work for me to have clients come to my home studio to be professionally photographed for headshots and personal branding portraits. I booked a few outdoor photo sessions of professional headshots for a law firms website and social media and then. . . our rainy season hit. BTW, I am always booking outdoor photo sessions with weather permitting which has really limited availability. A studio space popped up nearby home and it was too good to pass on so, I jumped on the opportunity to open my new photography studio there and I am so grateful I did. I am just working on the finishing touches and I am currently booking photo sessions starting November 1st at the new studio located in the MIMO District on the Upper Eastside in Miami. Although a lot of negative things are happening, this time of turmoil is the perfect opportunity to try new things and get out of your comfort zone. When was the last time you had a professional photo shoot? How long has it been since you updated your headshot for social media and your website? If it's been over three years, it's time to contact me for your personal branding photo session. I can't wait to welcome you at the new studio, pamper you and take photographs that you will love. Here is a sneak peek.
In addition to my new studio, I just launched my new website.
